-
- You have landed on a distant
-
- planet. As you fly your lander
-
- module over the surface of the
-
- planet, you see your fellow
-
- astronauts drifting through space.
-
- There's only one thing to do. You
-
- must manuever your craft into their
-
- path so they can grab on and climb to
-
- safety.
-
- The object of C-64 RESCUE is to use
-
- your lunar lander to rescue as many
-
- astronauts as you can in a limited
-
- amount of time.
-
- Use your joystick in Port #2 to
-
- control your lander. The firebutton
-
- increases your altitude. Pushing the
-
- joystick forward will move your craft
-
- toward the mountains. Releasing the
-
- button will allow gravity to pull you
-
- back towards the surface. Pulling
-
- your joystick back will move you away
-
- from the mountains. Pressing the
-
- joystick left or right will move you
-
- in the corresponding direction (left
-
- right).
-
- When the timer (in the bottom right
-
- corner of the screen) reaches zero,
-
- the game is over. Your score is
-
- shown in the bottom middle of the
-
- screen.
-
- Pressing the 'Q' key while playing
-
- a game will QUIT the program.
-
- Pressing the 'P' key will PAUSE the
-
- game.
